membership, please remit the
Application for Nomination to the Board of Directors. Thank you for your interest.
A member of the Alumni Board of Directors is appointed
to hold the position based on demonstrated involvement, support,
and commitment to Florida Institute of Technology and the Alumni
Association. In accepting this three year appointment, the member
agrees to fulfill the requirements and meet the responsibilities
associated with board membership. These include, but are not limited
to:
Attending and participating in at least one
of the two board meetings held each year on campus in conjunction
with Homecoming and in the Fall. If unable to attend a board meeting,
to submit in advance of the meeting a written response related
to action items on the agenda.
Serving actively on at least one alumni board
committee and participating in the majority of the meetings held.
Occasionally these committee meetings are held in conjunction with
the board meeting, but many are also held at other times throughout
the year. Because of the distances involved, these meetings are
usually held by conference phone.

All board members are expected to be current donors. Suggested
levels of support based on years since graduation are one-four
years = at least $50, five years plus = at least $100. Board members
should determine if matching funds are available from their employer
and initiate action to secure those funds.
