The Florida Tech Alumni Association
is pleased to announce a special 10 percent tuition discount
for children of alumni. This applies to undergraduate enrollment
only. The discount will not be based on financial need. If you
have teenage children who are considering college, why not consider
sending them to the best independent technological university
in the southeast. After all, you went to Florida Tech, so it
must be good! For more information, contact the Office of Alumni
Affairs at alumaffr@fit.edu or
the Admissions Office at jmarino@fit.edu.
Besides the 10 percent tuition discount,
consider these factors as well:
Quality - excellent academic programs, cutting-edge research, average
SATs of 1,155, highest CLAST scores for all universities in Florida.
No worries about gigantic classes
with no chance to interact with your professors. We have
a 11:1 faculty student ratio (one of the best in the country),
lots of extra-curricular activities (over 80 clubs and
organizations), and opportunities for undergrads to work
with professors on research projects (student research
is usually limited to graduate students in most universities).
The approved comprehensive cost is as
follows:
Science and Engineering Majors - $25,850
Aero Majors with flight - $32,050
All other Majors - $24,650
Books are estimated at $600/year
The average time it takes to graduate
from many local public universities is five to seven years.
Florida Tech guarantees graduation in four years as long as
the student meets basic requirements for the major.
Although Florida Tech is a tough school
academically, students with SATs of 1000+ and good motivation
can be successful students at Florida Tech.
