Thanks to the endowment and Sunday collections we are able to meet our expenses. However, this leaves no money for programs, projects, retreats, socials and other activities for our community. So therefore, we need fundraiser's. Actually, we have found the need for a "one time," once a year fundraiser rather than calling on the people several times during the year. We are looking to spending time on student projects as opposed to funding projects. This is the seventh year with our most successful once a year fundraiser. It is what might be referred to as our version of "BINGO" or "LOTTO." Here's some information about how our game works.
A donation of $25 is requested to join the 25-WEEK Club. Anyone can join. With your donation, you are eligible to participate in each of 25 weekly drawings for three cash prizes. Weekly prizes of $25, $15, and $10 are awarded. Every fifth week the prizes are $100, $50, and $25. The first drawing will be held on Wednesday, October 15th, 2008, during the student spaghetti dinner. Tickets will be drawn by hand, and you need not be present to win.
The names from each drawing will be posted on the bulletin board and in a mailing at the end of the year to everyone. Please remember you can win more than one time, as the list of winners will attest, as this is a $1 a week donation.
The expense of this fundraiser -- prize money, printing of cards, letters and postage will be approximately $2,500. This means the first 100 donations will only cover expenses. So, please sell some tickets to your friends, neighbors, enemies, councilmen ... etc. If you run out of cards, just mail in the checks and we will fill out the cards in house for you. We are most grateful for your generous support.
Our Catholic Campus Ministry projects on the Florida Tech campus play an important part in the lives of our young adults. They are our future and their educational and character development hinge on our being here with them and for them.
