The Central Florida Affiliate and Rock Pink.com are proud to announce the Rock Pink for the Cure Concert Series for 2008! This year we will have a series of FIVE shows! The first four will be held at the BackBooth in downtown Orlando and will feature Orlando’s finest local bands battling it out for the honor of being the first opening band for Rock Pink for the Cure II which will return to the House of Blues-Orlando on Friday, November 21! Here is the schedule for the 2008 Rock Pink Concert Series. The doors will open for all BackBooth shows at 7PM. Heart Walk Responsibilities: • Recruit 10 – 15 fundraising walkers • (Co-workers/family members/ friends) to represent Florida Tech • Set your team’s total and individual fundraising dollar goals • Last year’s walker average was $179 • Register your team online and monitor their success at http://brevardheartwalk.kintera.org • Encourage all walkers to raise money. Dollars = Lives Saved! • Recruit at least one Top Walker raising $1,000 • Motivate, support and follow up regularly with your walkers • AHA staff Member Sonia Rivera will provide support along the way • Walk as a team on September 27, 2008, at the Space Coast Stadium and encourage heart healthy living! Why Do it? Heart disease is the number one killer of Americans. Through awareness, prevention and promoting active, healthy lifestyles we can save lives. Last year, over $100,000 was raised for research and awareness programs that will directly affect Brevard County. Do it for yourself, for your loved ones and for your community!
