**As a FL Tech Flight Student you will earn 94% of your flight training in multiple aircraft rather than training devices and you will begin flying right away. Consequently, you should expect to incur 40% of your total flight costs in your Freshman year and another 40% in your Sophomore year. Flight costs are charged as you fly and are based on the aircraft type, actual flight hours and instructor hours and current fuel costs.. For FL Tech flight program details, click here.

For
a two-semester academic year, use the work sheet to help calculate your net billable expense. Divide the annual amount
by two and pay before the published semester due date.
Many undergraduates choose the annual payment plan. It divides the total expected Fall and Spring Semester net billable
expense into 10 (or 9) monthly interest-free installments. The deadline to apply for the 10 month plan is July 23, 2008; however, you can still apply up to August 22, 2008 by doubling the initial payment from 10% to 20%. Many graduate students choose the semester payment plan. For more details about these plans see the appropriate fact sheet: Undergraduate Students or Graduate Students
The Federal PLUS Loan is one option for making the difference between available financial aid and estimated education costs and for stretching those expenses over a longer period of time. Parents of dependent undergraduate students, or graduate students themselves, may borrow up to the
cost of education less the value of other financial aid awards.
Plus Loans
are based on the borrower's credit standing rather than on the student's financial need. For
more information or to apply, see PLUS Loans.
Students
may also qualify for private Alternative
Educational Loans. These loans offer flexible
repayment plans that may enable you to afford a quality education
with managable monthly payments. Since they are more expensive than Federal Loans, we recommend you explore your options with a Financial Aid Counselor before applying
for an alternative loan.
