Spring 2008 Commencement
Petition to Graduate Form
Graduating seniors must file a Petition
to Graduate no later than the date shown in the "Academic Calendar" of
the University Catalog (also listed below). Students filing petitions
after the due date are subject to a late fee of $30.* and
may not be able to graduate as planned because of insufficient
time to verify completion of requirements. Petition
forms may be
obtained from the Office of the Registrar or from the
respective academic unit. Petitions for graduation must be accompanied
by a degree plan signed by the academic unit.
*If a student petitions for graduation
during the semester of graduation, a late fee of $60 will be
assessed.
SPRING 2008 GRADUATION
- Last day to petition for graduation without a late fee: September 21, 2007
- Last day to re-petition for students who had petitioned for
Fall 2007: February 4, 2008
- Last day to petition with a late fee: March 21, 2008
- Last day for completed graduate-level defense and exam forms: April 21, 2008
- Graduation date (Saturday ceremony): May 3, 2008
SUMMER 2008 GRADUATION
- Last day to petition for graduation without a late fee: January 18, 2008
- Last day to re-petition for students who had petitioned for Spring 2008:
May 9, 2008
- Last day to petition with a late fee: June 27, 2008
- Last day for completed graduate-level defense and exam forms: July 21, 2008
- Graduation date (No ceremony): August 1, 2008
FALL 2008 GRADUATION
- Last day to petition for graduation without a late fee: April 4, 2008
- Last day to re-petition for students who had petitioned for
Spring/Summer 2008: September 12, 2008
- Last day to petition with a late fee: October 17, 2008
- Last day for completed graduate-level defense and exam forms: December 1, 2008
- Graduation date (Saturday ceremony): December 13, 2008
