To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Florida Institute of Technology, a special edition logo and insignia have been created.
Starting in July 2007, the special edition logo celebrating the 50th anniversary and the campaign can be used on these types of projects:
Brochures, fliers, posters, ads and other similar items celebrating the anniversary or promoting the campaign
- Merchandise: shirts, hats, mugs, etc.
- Banners
- Notecards
- Stationery* (see below)
In these cases, the complete special edition logo will replace the standard university signature graphic. To request a high resolution version, contact University Publications at x8963 or e-mail kkwong@fit.edu about any special project you’re creating that will use the special edition logo.
To promote awareness of the 50th anniversary on other printed pieces, such as recruiting materials, department newsletters, annually printed brochures and fliers, and Web pages, a special “Celebrating 50 Years” insignia has been created, which can be added prominently to a design to augment, but not replace, the official graphic identity.
For your convenience, the insignia is available online in Web resolutions. To request a high resolution version, contact University Publications at x8963 or e-mail kkwong@fit.edu.
A proof of the project(s) using this insignia should be submitted to UPUB, prior to printing or posting, to ensure the graphic identity standards are followed correctly.
If you are unsure which image to use contact University Publications at ext. 8963. or kkwong@fit.edu.
The university has created a special watermarked paper for the 50th anniversary celebration. To kick off the celebration, each department/office will receive 500 sheets of letterhead and 500 #10 envelopes at no charge. The watermarked paper has been purchased by the university; additional letterhead and envelopes can be ordered for the cost of imprinting your information. Contact Flamingo Printing at 768-0739 with your ProCard number.
A recycling program to reduce waste will take in your old letterhead (using the “toothbrush” logo) and transform it into usable notepads at no charge. When you turn in your letterhead, your office/department will be entered into a raffle to win a prize.
Contact UPUB x8963 for more information on the recycling program.
