Applying To The Florida Tech ABA Online Programs

Instructions for applying to ABA certificate programs, online M.A. degree program, or as a non-matriculating student ( Edition Bridging Coursework).

How To Apply - Graduate Certificate Programs

These are instructions for applying to the Certificate programs. VCS (verified course sequence) are taken for graduate credit. Students must apply for admission and be accepted prior to registration. A Bachelor's degree and Resume/CV is required for admission to the Behavior Analyst certificate programs.

  1. Visit admissions.fit.edu/apply/ to begin your application.
  2. Select Create an Account.
  3. Check your email for a temporary pin.
  4. Change your password.
  5. Select Start New Application
  6. From the dropdown choose Certificate Programs.
  7. Complete the Personal Background.
  8. Under Application Information Where would you like to study? - Online; Student Type-Certificate Program - Graduate
  9. What would you like to study?- Behavior Analyst Graduate Certificate (Online)
  10. Entry Term- Select the term you wish to start.
  11. Upload unofficial transcript copies for all college work. Unofficial transcripts are allowed temporarily. You will need to submit your official transcripts.
  12. Complete the Application in full, Sign and Review
  13. Upload a copy of your résumé or C.V.
  14. Order official transcripts from your previous University(s) to be sent to Florida Tech

How To Apply - Behavior Analysis Professional Practice, M.A.

  1. Visit admissions.fit.edu/apply/ to begin your application.
  2. Select Create an Account.
  3. Check your email for a temporary pin.
  4. Change your password.
  5. Select Start New Application
  6. From the dropdown choose Graduate.
  7. Complete the Personal Background.
  8. Under Application Information Where would you like to study?- Online; Student Type-Master's.
  9. What would you like to study?Behavior Analysis Professional Practice, MA (Behavior Analysis Online) 
  10. Entry Term- Select the term you wish to start.
  11. Upload unofficial transcript copies for all college work. Unofficial transcripts are allowed temporarily. You will need to submit your official transcripts.
  12. Complete the Application in full, Sign and Review
  13. Upload a copy of your résumé or C.V.
  14. Order official transcripts from your previous University(s) to be sent to Florida Tech

How to Apply - Non Matriculating Student for 4th to 5th Edition Transitions

Changing your Major

If you applied for the incorrect program or want to change your major, please review the following processing options.

For major/program changes being requested, follow the below instructions:

Changing from:

  • Certificate → Master's
  • Master's→ Certificate
  • 4th/5th Transition Coursework→ Certificate/Master's
  • Certificate/Master's → 4th/5th Transition Coursework (Non-Matriculating Student)

Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your application portal https://admissions.fit.edu/apply
  2. Click the blue link that says “graduate”
  3. Once in the portal click “request to change your major”
  4. Use the information from #8-#12 in the "how to apply" section pertaining to your program.
  5. Submit the request.
    •  students applying for change into the master’s program must upload a résumé to complete the application.

Changing from:

  • Certificate ⇄ Certificate
  • Certificate → “Assistant Behavior Analyst along the way” to master’s
    • “along the way”…students enrolled in the master’s program but want to get an Assistant Behavior Analyst certificate “along the way”

Follow these steps:

  1. Email the  Student Records department and request a Change Of Major form: student-records@fit.edu
  2. Complete the PDF/hardcopy form
  3. Obtain the required signatures
  4. Return the form to the Student Records department for processing: student-records@fit.edu.

Changing from a Master’s to a Master’s or changing Education Centers/Sites:

  • Transition to another Master's degree program
  • Transition to or from on-campus

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to: https://www.fit.edu/students/
  2. Choose the PAWS link under the Registration Heading
  3. Login using your Tracks login credentials.
  4. Choose the Student tab, then Change of Major

Note: Students who have not been enrolled for two or more years must reapply for admission and cannot submit a Change of Major.
