Fin Bonset

National Director of Aviation Planning, McFarland Johnson

Bio

Fin currently serves as the National Director of Aviation Planning for McFarland Johnson, a notable airport and transportation planning and design firm. He is an accomplished airport development consulting professional with both technical and managerial/leadership experience spanning 26 years. Fin has worked on both domestic (U.S.) and international stages and is well-versed with both FAA and ICAO recommended practices, rules, and regulations. In the spirit of promoting aviation, Fin enjoys teaching and has held an adjunct professor position at the Florida Institute of Technology College of Aeronautics for the last 15 years. He also holds an FAA commercial pilot license with instrument rating for single and multi-engine aircraft.

Fin has also been a chair/panelist/speaker for multiple aviation organizations such as TRB-ACRP, AAAE, ACC, FAC, and ACI, and has authored numerous articles for Passenger Terminal World, Airport Business Magazine, and Airport Consulting Magazine. He has guest lectured at Universities in Brazil and Chile and enjoys mentoring future generations to enhance the aviation industry workforce.

Fin lives in Melbourne’s Suntree area in Florida with his wife Jennifer (a prominent local artist) and their two Boxer dogs, Maggie and Ozzie.
