Falcons Flight Team
Bio
The Falcons Flight Team is comprised of undergraduate and graduate students primarily from FIT's College of Aeronautics, but all majors are welcome. They compete in the National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA) Region IX competition each year, with hopes of qualifying for the NIFA SAFECON (Safety and Evaluation Conference) national event. The Falcons well-recognized program has a great working relationship with the university, flight program, and local community, who all support them as they represent them around the country.
NIFA's Mission Statement:
"The National Intercollegiate Flying Association was formed for the purposes of developing and advancing aviation education; to promote, encourage and foster safety in aviation; to promote and foster communications and cooperation between aviation students, educators, educational institutions and the aviation industry; and to provide an arena for collegiate aviation competition."
