Bio

Dana Washington joined Florida Tech Army ROTC as the Human Resource Assistant in April 2014.

She began her career in 1989 in the U. S. Army as a Personnel Management Specialist. While in the Army, she was stationed in Friedberg, Germany, and deployed to Desert Storm/Shield.  She was also stationed at Ft. Sill, OK, and Ft. Bragg, NC (currently known as Ft. Liberty). 

While in service, she was awarded the Army Commendation Medal and the Army Achievement Medal.

After 10 years of service and receiving her honorable discharge, she held several positions in the civilian human resources sector until 2004, when she became a Department of the Army Civilian employee working as the Human Resource Assistant for the Army ROTC program at Florida Southern College (FSC). 

While working at FSC, she received her BA in Human Resources Management.

As a Department of the Army Civilian employee, she has received an award for 25 years of service as well as four Achievement Medals for Civilian Service.
