Ameerah Alsulami is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science, specializing in Cybersecurity at Florida Tech, and a lecturer at King Khalid University. Her unwavering passion for data security is matched by her dedication to empowering future experts, ensuring they are equipped to navigate the complexities of a rapidly evolving digital world.
Ameerah’s leadership journey is a testament to her vision and impact. Over three dynamic years with the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Club, she rose from Vice President and Treasurer to President, transforming the club into a thriving hub of innovation and collaboration. As the former President of the Saudi Student Union at Florida Tech, Ameerah reimagined the organization as a tech-savvy cultural beacon, launching a comprehensive website, celebrating Saudi culture, promoting the Arabic language, and offering vital support to Saudi students. Her initiatives earned respect and recognition from prominent figures and media outlets.
Her academic excellence shines through her research, “On Enhancing Security for Division Homomorphism with ElGamal,” presented at The International FLAIRS Conference, contributing to global advancements in cybersecurity. As a consultant with Taqnia Cyber, Ameerah created a specialized training workbook to empower women in the government sector, opening doors for their leadership in cybersecurity.
Ameerah’s influence extends beyond technology. She is a passionate advocate for wildlife conservation, using her voice to raise awareness and create compelling videos to support the endangered Arabian leopard. Her thought leadership is further demonstrated through her article, “Artificial Intelligence: A Scientific Revolution or a Threat?!” published in Alriyadh Newspaper.
Her remarkable achievements have earned her Outstanding Graduate honors twice and induction into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Ameerah embodies the strength of purpose-driven leadership, blending technology, culture, and advocacy to create a brighter, more inclusive world. She is a living example of how passion and perseverance can inspire change and leave a lasting impact.
