Assistant Director of Event Sponsorships at Florida Tech, Jessica Cartagena Assam plays a pivotal role in cultivating relationships with individual and corporate sponsors, ensuring the success of university fundraising events.
Her ability to connect the university with the broader community has strengthened Florida Tech’s outreach, benefiting students, staff, and local organizations.
Jessica’s expertise in event planning and sponsorship development have been pivotal in the success of major fundraising efforts, particularly for weVENTURE and The Scott Center for Autism Treatment at Florida Tech.
A standout achievement is her leadership in the Wine Women & Shoes Space Coast event, a premier fundraising initiative benefiting the weVENTURE Women’s Business Center at the Bisk College of Business, under the leadership of Dr. Kathryn Rudloff.
This collaboration with weVENTURE WBC has not only empowered women economically but has also contributed to the success and growth of the organization’s main fundraiser, benefiting the broader community.
Jessica is also a key figure in supporting The Evening of Hope, the signature fundraiser for The Scott Center for Autism Treatment, in collaboration with Executive Director Dr. Kimberly Sloman and a dedicated committee of volunteers.
The funds raised help develop children with autism and related disorders and support critical research benefiting affected families.
The Center’s focus on clinical services, research, and student training from Florida Tech’s School of Psychology and School for Behavioral Analysis has made it one of the nation’s most esteemed autism resources on the Space Coast.
Beyond her professional role, Jessica is a passionate advocate for various causes, offering her time to organizations that support children, conservation, and the arts such as the East Coast Zoological Society (Brevard Zoo) Board of Directors, Space Coast Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors, 2023 Dancing for the Space Coast, Holy Trinity Parent Association Board, and Co-Chair of Evening of Elegance.
