What career or personal update would you like to give to your fellow Florida Tech Panthers alumni?
Happy to announce I received a promotion at my current job which allowed me to transition from an Account Executive to a Senior Account Manager. I currently work at an Advertising Agency in Boston, MA and have been with the company for over a year and a half. I've been living in Boston since July 2022 and moved here for work after graduating with my M.B.A. Recently, I've been able to help out Florida Tech by joining the New England Alumni chapter and working as a Marketing Manager to bring fellow panthers in the area together. It's been a great experience living in Boston as well as being a Florida Tech Alumna and re-connecting with friends from school.
How did your time at Florida Tech help get you to where you are today?
I'm extremely grateful for my time at Florida Tech considering I grew a lot as a student and as person. My communications program helped shape my work ethic and career since I still utilize all of my skills and knowledge I garnered from those classes and professors. I also learned a lot by working as an intern in the Athletics Communications department since this experience helped me in graduate school at plus career-wise. I loved working with the Athletics staff and met a lot of my best friends through that internship. Overall, Florida Tech helped me to discover my career path and I'm proud to have gone to such an amazing school.
What is your favorite Florida Tech memory?
My favorite Florida Tech Memory was having lunch with my friends on campus and always bumping into them on the way to class. It was always so fun to catch up and see a friendly face on my walk across the campus. One other favorite memory of mine was attending the sports games with friends, cheering on the teams and supporting the school!
Was there a mentor or professor who had a big impact on you personally and/or professionally?
The two professors that helped me the most were Dr. Peterson and Dr. Edwards, I wouldn't be where I am today without their mentorship!
Please share any advice you have for current Florida Tech students.
