What career or personal update would you like to give to your fellow Florida Tech Panthers alumni?
Currently I am a First Officer at American Airlines flying the Airbus 319/320/321 and based out of MIA. After I graduated from FIT I went to fly for Ameriflight based out of PHX flying feeder cargo for UPS, FedEx and DHL. After doing that for a few years I was picked up by Republic Airways as a First Officer flying the Embraer 175 based out of PIT. Then after 2.5 years Allegiant Air called and I flew the A320 for them out of IWA, FNT and FLL until I accepted my current position with American Airlines.
How did your time at Florida Tech help get you to where you are today?
Although I did not start my college career at Florida Tech, my time at FIT certainly helped develop my knowledge and skills to be the professional aviator I am today.
What is your favorite Florida Tech memory?
Although I don't have a specific memory that is my ultimate favorite I would say the people I met at FIT were definitely my favorite thing about FIT. To this day I still talk to and meet up with a lot of them and even see a good number in the terminals as I'm heading to my next flight.
Please share any advice you have for current Florida Tech students.
My advice to current FIT students is to never give up and keep your head high! Hard work, determination and perseverance will take you far in life!
