What career or personal update would you like to give to your fellow Florida Tech Panthers alumni?

Firstly, one important thing I would like to say is "If you get an opportunity, be it small or big, Just Grab It!". I came from India to pursue my Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering major at Florida Tech in 2013. My passion for Aerospace and Robotics industry kept on growing. This was also because of the various classes and opportunities to work with Aerospace professionals offered at Florida Tech. I was working on-campus as a part-time and involved with AIAA activities at the same time. I also decided to pursue my Masters from Florida Tech specializing in Aerospace Robotics systems as it amazed me the most. During my graduate studies, I was also a teaching assistant and research assistant within the department. I graduated with my Masters in 2019. After a year and half, I joined Amazon as a Robotics Project Engineer and started working on deploying robotics technologies within Amazon warehouses across North America. My work at Florida Tech besides courses has helped me a lot in excelling in my role throughout my professional journey. Today, I work as a Robotics Project Manager for Amazon's Robotics Tech Deployment department.

How did your time at Florida Tech help get you to where you are today?

I learned the importance of teamwork, problem solving skills, interpersonal skills, and time management. I made some very supportive friends that helped me throughout the journey. I will always be grateful for them!

What is your favorite Florida Tech memory?

There come many memories in my mind when I think of my time at Florida Tech. Great time spent with amazing friends at the beach and those late-night assignments with classmates. One of the best memories I can recall is skipping classes and going out to see the rocket launches near Kennedy Space Center. Unforgettable!

Was there a mentor or professor who had a big impact on you personally and/or professionally?

Yes, Dr. Markus Wilde from Aerospace department was my advisor during my BS and MS both. His work inspired me to continue Masters at Florida Tech right after I graduated with Bachelors. Under his guidance, I got to work on lot of Aerospace Robotics related projects on-campus which led me to where I am today in my career.

Please share any advice you have for current Florida Tech students.

The one advice I would like to give you is Don't Give Up! Even if you are not on the top of your class with grades, it is ok! Your grades don't define your future, Your passion and hard work does! So keep working hard and smart!
