The Florida Tech Pep Band performs at a select number of events throughout the semester. The band comprises of brass, woodwind and percussion students representing a variety of disciplines who contribute musically to the event day atmosphere uniting the student body, university, and community in mutual camaraderie. This ensemble strives to support the university athletic program and other university events to boost school spirit both on and off campus. Its purpose is to provide performances that draw the audience into a game, represent the university with pride, and nurture a spirit of cooperation through musicianship and artistic integrity. Practice is twice a week in the evening. The Pep Band is a performing ensemble with membership open to all FIT students. No audition is needed for entrance into Pep Band. However, for new students there are part assignment assessments. Part assignments are determined on the first day of pre-season training.  You will be asked to play your favorite major scale and the Florida Tech Fight Song.
