Bio
Jennifer (Jen) holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Southwest Texas State University. Professionally, she has retired from Texas Public Education with 29 years as a Special Education teacher, District Behavior Specialist, and District Special Education Program Coordinator for Behavior Supports.
While working as a Behavior Specialist in the school district, Jen fell in love with Applied Behavior Analysis, pursued training through Florida Institute of Technology, and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2015. She is also a Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of Texas.
Currently, in addition to teaching online classes for Florida Tech, Jen works as a part time BCBA providing in home ABA services for a local agency, and as a part time BCBA conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and creating Behavior Intervention plans for a Charter School District.
Jen’s interest is in the dissemination of the science of behavior and teaching adults in the fields of Education and Behavior Analysis. She has a deep passion for delivering training and professional development on topics of classroom management, principles of behavior, behavior data collection/analysis, and behavior strategies. In her spare time, Jen loves to read, take walks, and binge TV shows.
