Jamie Duncan-Chapman M.S., M.A., BCBA
Bio
I graduated with a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2002, the same year I became a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. In 2019, I furthered my education by earning a Master of Arts in Instructional Design and Technology from West Virginia University.
My career began as a consultant for verbal behavior programs aimed at supporting children with language delays. This role involved conducting language assessments, developing behavior plans, and providing training for both parents and staff. Additionally, I contributed to a statewide foster care program, where I taught parents behavioral strategies inspired by Glenn Latham’s book, The Power of Positive Parenting.
I also served as a clinical director for an organization dedicated to assisting adults with disabilities, where I focused on building a robust behavioral clinic team across residential and day program settings. My experience extends to being a special education coordinator for a public school system, where I was responsible for assessing students, training teachers, and overseeing the implementation of a county-wide web-based professional development program.
As a content developer for Trumpet Behavioral Health, I gained valuable experience designing online courses for various audiences. Since 2012, I have co-instructed courses at The Florida Institute of Technology, and I have been a lead instructional manager since 2015. I am passionate about integrating my real-world experiences into my online classes, aiming to effectively prepare the next generation of behavior analysts. Throughout my career, I have also been a featured speaker at various webinars and workshops, sharing insights on topics such as autism, verbal behavior, and applied behavior analysis.
