Bio

Kathryn is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a strong commitment to transforming schools and fostering equitable outcomes for all learners. She works to build the capacity of leadership teams by implementing evidence-based practices that promote a positive school climate, social-emotional learning, inclusive practices, and authentic family and community engagement. With over 22 years of experience in education, Kathryn has served in various roles, including general and special education teacher, district behavior specialist, district administrator supporting school-site leaders, and most recently, as an administrator for the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Unit at the Los Angeles County Office of Education. Her expertise spans curriculum development, program management, and the creation of systems that align with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and the Community Schools Framework. Kathryn is also an active member of the administrative leadership team for the Los Angeles County Office of Education Community Schools Initiative, where she continues to shape impactful initiatives aimed at improving student success.

Kathryn's passion for the science of behavior and learning is both inspiring and contagious. Her enthusiasm is evident in every training session, presentation, and conversation, drawing people in and sparking their own interest in the field. She firmly believes in the transformative power of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and its ability to improve lives. Kathryn's genuine commitment to the science and its real-world applications makes her an engaging and motivating presence for those who have the opportunity to work with her.
