Department Head's Message

Welcome to the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science! Our goal is to prepare computer, electrical, and software engineering and computer science students for success and leadership, and to expand knowledge and understanding through research, scholarship, and service.

The department offers a variety of graduate, undergraduate, and certificate programs in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Human-Centered Design, Information Assurance and Cybersecurity, and Software Engineering. Many courses and programs are offered on-line as well as in person.

We currently have over 1000 students and 35 full-time faculty. Our graduates work for many companies, including Electronic Arts, Facebook, GE, Google, Harris, IBM, Microsoft, Northrop Grumman, LinkedIn, Raytheon, Space-X, and United Launch Alliance. Faculty conduct research in a variety of computing, and electrical engineering areas, and are funded by many private and government agencies.
