Personal Overview

Dr. Rivet joined Florida Tech in 2013 after a 30 year career in the semiconductor industry.  He earned a BSE (Electrical Engineering) from the University of Michigan and an MBA and DBA from Florida Tech.  His industry experience included engineering, marketing, and product line management, and his DBA dissertation studied divestment decisions, and area of corporate strategy; his research areas are marketing and corporate strategy.  Steve has published as a coauthor in NSREC Proceedings and authored many corporate news releases, trade publication articles, and product promotional pieces.  He is a co-inventor on two US patents relating to three dimensional construction techniques for DC/DC power modules.  His community service includes serving for over 16 years as Malabar's District 3 Town Council member.
