Personal Overview

Matthew Mark Romano is a researcher in the High Energy Physics lab at Florida Tech; He is active in the Hohlmann and Das research groups. In his free time, Matthew enjoys learning about fundamental interactions and fundamental fields.

Matthew is currently working on the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. He helps develop software and hardware infrastructure for the next generation of inner tracker modules.

Matthew is also active in the field of Muon Tomography. He has developed a novel methodology of reconstructing the trajectory of charged particles using Cherenkov radiation.
