Personal Overview

Dr. Wilder has an active research lab, which meets weekly. Generally, the lab focuses on two areas of research. The first is the assessment and treatment of behavior problems. Recent lab projects in this area include evaluating the high-p instructional sequence and noncontingent reinforcement to increase compliance, evaluating interventions to decrease problem behavior, and evaluating a structured meals procedure to increase bite acceptance among children who exhibit food selectivity.

The second area of interest involves the assessment and improvement of employee performance problems, mainly in human service settings. Recent lab projects include assessing the reliability and validity of the Performance Diagnostic Checklist-Human Services, and combining assessment tools to identify the variables influencing performance problems.
