Bio

Dr. Warren Pittorie is a First Officer on the Boeing 737 at Avelo Airlines.

Warren attended Florida Tech from 2012 – 2022, and graduated with three degrees from the College of Aeronautics: a B.S. in Aeronautical Science with Flight, a M.S. in Aviation Human Factors, and a PhD in Aviation Sciences. From 2019 – 2024, Warren was an Assistant Professor at the COA, and served as the university’s Flight Education Chair. This position served as the branch of communication between campus and Florida Tech Aviation, the
university’s Part 141 flight training school. Warren was also responsible for ensuring that the main campus complied with FAA regulations and maintained relationships with partners in the commercial airline industry.

Warren is a certified flight instructor, and aircraft owner. He still flight instructs part-time, and specializes in tailwheel aircraft and basic aerobatic training. Warren is an executive member of the university’s Alumni Association Board of Directors, and is still involved with graduate-level research through the COA.
