This scholarship is administered by the Office of Financial Aid to full-time undergraduate students in good academic standing, based on need and merit. Preference will be given to renewing to the same student.
History
In October 1999, a donation of $25,000 was made by Thomas E. and Lois R. McNamara to create the endowed fund called “Thomas E. and Lois R. McNamara Scholarship Fund”. The value of the gift was matched by the F.W. Olin Foundation. In 2002, an additional donation by Mr. McNamara of 970 shares of Morgan Stanley ($47,559) was made and was matched by F.W. Olin Foundation. In addition, Mr. and Mrs. McNamara created an Honorary Scholarship (612142) for their deceased grandchildren Melissa Lee Crist.
