Honors Seminar & HON Courses

The Honors Seminar is a 2000-level interdisciplinary course that highlights the relationship between the humanities, social sciences and STEM fields and features guest lectures by faculty across disciplines. The Honors Seminar is required of all Honors College students. Students read primary and secondary sources on the topic and complete numerous writing assignments, including a research paper.  The HON 2000 course satisfies one three-credit humanities (HU) elective, and the HON 2001 course satisfies one three-credit social science (SS) elective. The Honors Research and Honors Special Topics courses are offered by academic units and require instructor and/or academic unit head/chair approval.
