Becoming A Member Of The Honors College
Florida Tech’s Honors College invites applications from high-performing new and current Florida Tech students. The Office of Undergraduate Admission will identify high school seniors and transfer students that meet the criteria listed below and invite them to apply for admission to the Honors College. Current Florida Tech students that meet the criteria listed below are encouraged to submit an application, which includes two letters of recommendation from Florida Tech faculty members. Florida Tech faculty and advisors may also nominate eligible undergraduate students for consideration. The nominated students will be contacted by the Honors College and evaluated for admission.
Minimum Requirements for Consideration for Admission to the Honors College
Incoming First Time in College (FTIC) Student:
1350 SAT or 31 ACT score, 4.0 or higher GPA, and demonstrated involvement in extracurricular activities, particularly those with leadership roles
Transfer Students (Freshmen, Sophomores, and First-Semester Juniors):
3.8 or higher university GPA, 24 university credit hours completed, and demonstrated involvement in extracurricular activities, particularly those with leadership roles
Current Florida Tech students (Freshmen, Sophomores, and First-Semester Juniors):
3.8 or higher GPA and demonstrated involvement in extracurricular activities, particularly those with leadership roles
or
A/B final grade in at least three Honors courses and demonstrated involvement in extracurricular activities, particularly those with leadership roles
Application Process
The application for new students entering Florida Tech in Fall 2024 is currently available. The priority admission deadline is February 1, 2025.
