What is a boilerplate?
In public or media relations, a boilerplate (also known as an “about us statement") is a short, standardized paragraph included at the end of every official press release. The boilerplate provides readers unfamiliar with the company or organization with high-level background information and a homepage link.
Florida Tech students, faculty and staff are invited to use Florida Tech's boilerplate in presentations, documents, and other such communications where informing the audience about the university is appropriate.
