Mechanical Engineering Organizations
Students are able to participate in a variety of organizations related to Mechanical Engineering. These student organizations provide opportunities for extra-curricular activities such as club meetings, field trips to projects or organizations, student competitions, and meetings with guest speakers or prospective employers. Additionally the student clubs have periodic joint events with the working professional chapters of the same organizations. These events include attending professional development meetings, continuing education seminars, and networking events.
Extra-curricular activities provide a great chance to meet and work with upper level students and with students from other disciplines to provide informal learning and coaching opportunities. Student clubs also provide leadership opportunities and experience working in multi-disciplinary teams during events and student competitions.
