The Scott Center for Autism Treatment

The Scott Center LogoThe  (Scott Center) is a 22,000 square-foot facility, located on the Florida Institute of Technology  campus in Melbourne, Florida.  It provides assessment and treatment services for individuals and families affected by autism. 

The Center focuses on providing three core services which include:

  1. Treatment services to children in collaboration with families, schools and other organizations; 
  2. Training and education for caregivers
  3. Conducting research to identify and disseminate best-practice strategies for working with children with autism.

Since its opening in Fall 2009, the Scott Center has served over 160 children and their families. The center serves the counties of Brevard, Indian River, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia in Florida.   

ABA Students and the Scott Center

The Florida Tech campus is the ideal location for the Scott Center because it integrates an academic component into the facility’s activities. Professional training for Florida Tech undergraduates and graduate students also takes place at the Scott Center ensuring a cadre of future professionals who are committed and prepared to improve the quality of life of children with autism.
