Welcome to the CRC!
The Chemistry Resource Center (CRC) is the place where students receive assistance in freshman and sophomore level chemistry courses. The Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering leads the CRC, oversees functions, and supervises tutors and GSAs.
The SSSC offers one-to-one and small group tutoring for 1000 and 2000-level chemistry courses and supplemental instruction (SI) for 1000-level chemistry courses.
Tutoring services are offered in person or online. Although walk-ins are welcome, students are encouraged to use the online booking platform to make appointments for virtual or in-person sessions as often as needed.
Prepare to succeed
To prepare for a tutoring session, students should bring textbooks, notes, completed homework, study guides, and graded quizzes or exams. Having material from the course gives both the student and the tutor a starting point for the tutoring session. Students should expect to work through problems, draw diagrams, engage in discussion and explanation, and participate actively in the tutoring session.
