Bio

Meet Marcello! He is a PhD student studying Biomedical Engineering in the College of Engineering & Science. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, he chose Florida Tech because of its vibrant international community, degree offerings, and relative proximity to his home. As a President’s Ambassador, he hopes to represent his international community, graduate students, and part-time students who balance full-time jobs with their studies. After graduation, he wants to make his dream of becoming a teacher a reality. He wants to teach data science, signal processing, and AI, and eventually start a tech-focused school in Venezuela so students can learn STEM from a young age to pursue their passions.

His favorite thing about Florida Tech: “The amount of international people and people from many different states that you get to meet and learn from.”
