This Global Experience Program (Study Abroad) is designed to enhance the understanding and value of international business through experiential engagement. Expanding knowledge about the world of global business by experiencing first-hand the impact of globalization and international trade, will set you apart in your career. Our focus is to broaden your cultural understanding and show you how to thrive in the unknown. Bennett says, “You never change your life until you step out of your comfort zone; change begins at the end of your comfort zone”, and this program is designed to start you on your journey.
The main focuses of our program are:
- The global aspects of conducting business in Austria, Germany, and the broader E.U. markets
- Examines the current market conditions which influence business performance
- Provides the cultural offerings of several cities in north central Europe (Austria and Germany) — nations with a rich and vibrant heritage
- Balanced coursework with site visits to renown companies (i.e.: Man, BMW, Red Bull, and more!!)
- Study abroad component from May 12-24, 2024
- Course is 6 weeks: The majority of the contact hours in Austria / Germany with the remaining on Zoom in June 2024.

Enrollment
Before enrollment, students will complete a "Course Substitution Form" to ensure the course approval for their curriculum model. This Global Experience course will satisfy the international experience requirement for business students majoring in International Business or used as a general business elective. The Communication course will serve as an elective for any "COM" elective. If you are interested but are not sure if you are eligible, contact us and we will work to find an acceptable course substitution for your program or major.
Munich
Munich, Bavaria’s capital, is home to centuries-old buildings and numerous museums. The city is known for its annual Oktoberfest celebration and its beer halls, including the famed Hofbräuhaus, founded in 1589. In the Altstadt (Old Town), central Marienplatz square contains landmarks such as Neo-Gothic Neues Rathaus (town hall), with a popular glockenspiel show that chimes and reenacts stories from the 16th century. ― Google
Salzburg
Salzburg is an Austrian city on the border of Germany, with views of the Eastern Alps. The city is divided by the Salzach River, with medieval and baroque buildings of the pedestrian Altstadt (Old City) on its left bank, facing the 19th-century Neustadt (New City) on its right. The Altstadt birthplace of famed composer Mozart is preserved as a museum displaying his childhood instruments. ― Google
Vienna
Vienna, Austria’s capital, lies in the country’s east on the Danube River. Its artistic and intellectual legacy was shaped by residents including Mozart, Beethoven and Sigmund Freud. The city is also known for its Imperial palaces, including Schönbrunn, the Habsburgs’ summer residence. In the MuseumsQuartier district, historic and contemporary buildings display works by Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt and other artists. ― Google
